It’s finally here, SMC has moved!

Sakakawea Medical Center has moved into the newly constructed Sakakawea Medical Center located directly south of the old facility. Please use the northwest door for all services including Emergency services. Main Galleria is open 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. After hours, patients and visitors are to ring the buzzer for assistance.

It’s finally here, we are moving!

Sakakawea Medical Center will be moving into the new Sakakawea Medical Center beginning Monday, April 3, 2017. The move will take approximately 3 days to complete. During the move, the current (old) facility will remain open for admissions, emergency department visits, and/or other needed hospital care until 6:00 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017. Services affected during the move are as follows:

Hazen Memorial Hospital Association reinvesting in the community

Since 1941, the residents of Dunn, Mercer and Oliver counties have relied on Hazen Memorial Hospital Association – DBA (doing business as) Sakakawea Medical Center (SMC) – for quality care. This community‐owned, not‐for‐profit organization has endured healthcare changes and all profits are reinvested back into the community’s healthcare needs. One of the most recent investments is a new facility which opened in 2016.

Opening Soon: New Sakakawea Medical Center

This is definitely a time of celebration and a time to thank all those who have worked so hard to make the new Sakakawea Medical Center a reality. The ability to access quality healthcare in our area is essential to sustaining and building a strong future for our rural communities. The opening of the new Sakakawea Medical Center will help ensure that we continue to provide the highest-quality, most efficient and cost effective healthcare services right here at home.

Hazen hospital steps into a new century
