A free seven-week falls prevention workshop is being offered in Hazen this spring! Trained leaders coach you to recognize your risk of falling and help you build the balance, strength, and practical skills you need to avoid a fall. The class will be offered on Wednesdays, April 16 - May 28, 2025 from 1 - 3 p.m. at Senior Citizen Center in Hazen. Call Kayla Allmendinger, OTR/L at (701) 748-7276 to register.

Healing at Home
Despite undergoing a scary illness earlier this year, Kent Larson is now on the mend. He said this was largely due to the quality care provided by nursing staff at the hospital, as well as making use of the outpatient services available at the Sakakawea Medical Center Treatment Room that allowed Kent to spend much of his healing process at home. Kent is pictured here in that treatment room where he received his daily IV antibiotics. Beside him is Molly Nelson, RN, Nursing Care Coordinator, who helped care for him through his healing process.

Sakakawea Medical Center and Coal Country Community Health Center are pleased to welcome Ann Ruffo, DO, to our team. Dr. Ruffo will primarily be serving patients at CCCHC Hazen. She will also be providing care in the emergency room at SMC.
