Help support SMC Hospice and make someone's day by sending them cookies this Valentine's Day! Order forms are available at Krause's, Bronson's, Beulah Drug, and Hazen Health Pharmacy, or by calling the Hospice Office at 7017487380. Deliveries will be made to local businesses, schools, power plants/mines (sorry, no home deliveries). Suggested donation: $10 minimum per tray. Order deadline: Wednesday, February 8, at 4:30 p.m. Cookies will also be sold on Monday, February 13, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Hazen City Hall, while supplies last.

SMC has teamed up with the UND Center for Rural Health, Coal Country Community Health Center, Custer Health, Hilltop Home of Comfort and Knife River Care Center to gather information about the communities we serve and learn more about how local services are used. New Therapy Offered for Patients with Parkinson Disease

People living with Parkinson Disease or other neurological conditions often move differently, with gestures and actions that become smaller and slower. They may have trouble getting around, getting dressed, and with other daily activities. A new therapy offered at SMC can help patients with PD use their body more normally and slow symptom progression. Lisa Fletcher, PT, DPT, recently went through LSVT BIG training to become an LSVT BIG Certified Clinician.
